Kindergarten through second grade classes come to the computer lab for 30 minutes a week. The goals for these primary grades is to teach them the basics of computer use while supporting the curriculum they cover in class.
The computer specialists goes to the classroom for third through sixth grade for 35 minutes a week for lessons on their Chromebooks. Curriculum support is the main focus for upper grade students whether it be using the internet to research a social studies topic, word processing a story or poem, or creating a presentation. We currently use the Google G Suite for Education (formerly called Google Apps for Education), which includes Classroom, Drive, Docs, Forms, Sheets, Sites, and Slides.
All students are becoming more comfortable with technology and increasing their computer skills.
